Change your way of thinking in order to control your food cravings



I know that if I asked you about your favorite types of food, they will not be the healthy ones. I guess that they will be such as: pizza, potatoes, chips, ice cream and other unhealthy foods. I’m thinking that you are now actually is thinking about unhealthy food, while reading. So, if you are doing so, stop it for a while and in addition just think regarding it. In this post, I’m going to explain for you that by changing your way of thinking, you can change your eating habits even those ones that you’re addicted to.



Almost, all of the customers I’ve met at my office, when I first meet them, were having an “appetite problem”. Nevertheless, I find it as a solution not as a problem. Appetites are just over estimated. They must not be allowed to have control over us, they are not worthy.  You need to be tempted by healthy delicious foods such as pineapples and oranges not by frozen dessert and cookies. Do you think that it is impossible? It is not and you are going to discover the reason by yourself.



Change your way of thinking in order to control your food cravings



Every time I have a session with a patient, I try to collect all data with details about eating routine. Usually the reason of all of their weight problems is about unhealthy foods like; snacks, fast foods and of course overeating. After this, I ask them about their favorite kinds of fruits and vegetables. Up to this point, I must meet a person who doesn’t prefer any kind of fruit or detests all of our earthly vegetables. As a last question, I used to ask them about how many times they usually consume fresh fruits or veggies and the answer is usually much more less than of those unhealthy types.



When I finish collecting all of the data I need, it’s the time for me to start my real mission. I ask them to sleep on the couch and shut their eyes. In the next few minutes, I send their minds to a very calm place where they feel very peaceful more than any time earlier. Next, I begin drawing into their minds a picture of them biting a very a tasty piece of fruit or drinking a very delicious juice of it. After that, I tell their minds about their new craving types of food! Which are the delicious mature fruits and here they go!! They will be the new food types that they fancy. How can this happen? Simply, when you peacefully close your eyes and take your mind to a relaxing place, your unconscious mind start working very well and controlling your appetites. Once you change your way of thinking, you start controlling your appetite and eating habits.



Try to build a new point of view. Think about pineapples as the most kind of fruit that you love. Imagine yourself setting with me while I’m giving you a delicious juice of it which you found very tasty that you asked me for some more. Now, imagine me opening my fridge and offering you a chocolate bar. I bet that you’ll prefer pineapples because you have just found it more tasty and even want some more of it. Here is the truth: you love your favorite kind of fruit as much as fast foods and sweets, you are just convinced with something else.



One more, food cravings are just over estimated by people. Only saying this word “cravings” invoke the images of those foods rich in calories and fats. These are the food types you’re watching all the day in media. Your mind became just used to them and wants nothing more than them. As we said before, once you change your mind and your way of thinking about food you will be able to change those cravings to other healthy ones. Following is a simple five-steps-intellectual training that will help you to start changing your eating habits and your way of thinking about it.


in order to control your food cravings:



N.1- go to a comfy, relaxing place which doesn’t have any kind of disturbances. Start to breathe till you feel actually relaxed. Then, count slowly from 1 to 10. Imagine your mind with each single count wandering much more deeply.



N.2- Once you finished counting, imagine yourself very relaxed in the most place that you prefer the most. A quiet secret beach or a track in the woods will be responsible for doing the job. Now you are there and feeling very peaceful and comfy.



N.3- now, Imagine a hand basket beside you and full of fresh picked pieces of your favorite fruit. Don’t just imagine it, feel it. Feel every single detail about it…the color, the taste, everything. Feel the taste of its juice in your mouth which you love more than anything else.



N.4- “now and on, once I feel hungry, I feel about the fruit craving, immediately” repeat it 10 times.



N.5- finally, count slowly from 1 to 5 and once you reach 5, open your eyes.
